Job Overview

The Marketing and Propositions Manager is responsible for creating and developing marketing propositions for our existing clients.  You will act at the bridge between client needs and what MLP has to offer, ensuring that all propositions align with client briefs and deliver maximum value.  You will build and maintain existing client relationships and build new ones.

Key Responsibilities

Proposition Development

  • Develop innovative and tailored marketing propositions that align with our financial services and insurance client’s needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Work closely with the product, partnerships and wider business development teams to help build compelling, commercially viable propositions.
  • Create decks and collateral to pitch propositions to existing clients, bring ideas to life and explain rationale behind proposals.
  • Create financial models to fit with client budgets and to align with MLP commercial requirements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to ensure propositions remain relevant, competitive and innovative.
  • Ensure a keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal presentation skills in all communications.
  • Provide support and assistance to other team members in delivering creative offers and campaigns (with a wide range of tasks including copy checking, research, client partnerships, etc) – ensuring tasks are completed on brief, on time, and on budget to an exceptionally high standard.
  • Work with clients to create statements of work for new activity, clearly articulating the deliverables of campaigns.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain existing client relationships, being a point of contact and actively engaging stakeholders to keep front of mind.
  • Regularly check in with clients to ensure they know about new services, propositions or enhancements.
  • Understand client’s goals and objectives as well as their competitors and marketplace.
  • Identify opportunities within existing clients for future growth.

New Business Development

  • Attend events to broaden the reach of MLP and to bring our brand to potential new clients. Increasing consideration within the industry and creating new opportunities.
  • Identify potential clients and target them accordingly with timely and relevant messaging to create new opportunities.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Liaise with internal design studios to brief propositions and developing compelling creative assets.
  • Liaise with account management teams to ensure a smooth handover between the propositions and delivery teams.
  • Work closely with the partnerships team to develop strategic partnerships with partners that complement our client’s brands and propositions e.g. Greggs, Sky TV, Odeon
  • Remain in dialogue with internal teams such as account management, operations and finance to ensure smooth campaign management.
